As reported by RFE\RL, at 3:30am, the operation was over. All protesters – about 460 people – were taken away in police buses. Among them is Valancina Palevikova, one of opposition leaders, and my God, some of my best friends!!! Most of analysts were expecting that this would happen, but hell, my heart sank! CNN is already covering it. BBC, Euronews, and Sky News are behind.

So, any new s on what will happen with the arrested people? And any news on what will happen tomorrow?
It´s horrible, somehow I believed it wouldn´t go that far. Even if everyone said the opposite.

It is bad that people got arrested. But was that a logical resolution of display of public disobedience? What other conclusion one would expect. It is a predictable thing, if you protest long enough you eventually will get arrested. It will happened in Belarus , Cairo or Washington DC. One will need much more than 500 or even 5000 protesters to make a difference. And sadly enough most of the Belorussian people happy with status quo. Unlike Ukraine and Russia pensioners get their government checks on time and for most of them it is a sign of a good government.
System is corrupt and oppressive , but it is fine with most of the people who get their salaries and pensions on time. Don’t expect any changes unless majority gets pissed off.
