A link to a short video clip showing a fact of ballot count manipulation at a Minsk polling station spread all over the Belarus’ internet.
At a PS#6 of October precinct of Minsk, located in the gymnasium #74 at Artylerystay Str., 16, the heaps of ballots for Lukashenka and Milinkevich were visually the same. But when the commission did the counting, by an adroit handling, there happened a trick – a heap “for Lukashenka” turned out to be essentially bigger than the others. But when observers had a chance to look a bit closer, votes for other candidates turned out to be in it, as well. Independent monitors did not just witness it but managed to videotape it with a hidden camera.
The observers succeeded in their demand for a recount. But when the commission conducted it, the observers were not even allowed to stand up, let alone to approach the table. They were threatened that if they dare to interfere with the work of the commission, they would leave the polling station in cuffs.
Note, this is happening in the capital! And what kind of count did the commissions conduct in the country?
This is my short retelling of a text from Babruisk.com, a satirical website, but its creators are backing Belarus’ struggle for freedom.
